1. How will a healing session help me? If you are feeling low energy, or have a slow healing injury or illness, or want to find more meaning in your life, a healing session will give you a boost. A series of sessions can help you to find renewed satisfaction and motivation in your life. 2. What should I wear for a healing session? Healing sessions are done with you sitting in a chair or lying on a Reiki table, fully clothed. Often a blanket is placed over you. Clothes should be comfortable, preferably not too tight. 3. Is one session enough? Many clients find one session reduces their discomfort, whether physical or emotional. Chronic injuries or illnesses generally benefit from a series of sessions (usually once a week). Many clients return for a session once a month if they are feeling "rundown" from the daily stress of life. 4. Are there any side effects I should be aware of after a session? There is generally an immediate benefit of deep relaxation and peace of mind. Sometimes a cleansing process takes place in the body creating cold-like symptoms. These usually pass in a few days. 5. Will a healing session interfere with treatments I am receiving from my doctor. An energy healing session is not a replacement for standard medical or psychological treatment. A healing session will not interfere with any other treatments you are receiving or medications you are taking. 6. Is there anything I can do to enhance the benefits of a session? It is good to drink more water than usual after a session. If you take a course to learn Reiki or another healing modality, you can give yourself healing energy every day. |
