Rising Sun Healing Center   "Reiki, The Healing Touch" Classes
Spring, 2008 Schedule

Instructor:
Chris Hanna, MSW, Reiki Master
Member, Vermont Reiki Association

Introduction:

The most remarkable aspect of Reiki is that anyone can learn it in a day long class. Reiki is not so much learned as it is transmitted by what is called an "attunement" (read my article 'The Mystery of Reiki in a world of Science'). The Reiki instructor performs a ceremony as the students sit quietly with their eyes closed. Students often experience heat in their hands and a tingling sensation at the top of their heads. Immediately afterwards they are able to transmit Reiki simply by placing their hands on another person.

There are three different levels of classes:

(Unless otherwise indicated classes will be held at the Rising Sun Healing Center, 35 King Street, Suite 7 Burlington, Vermont)

Reiki Level I - Day long class
Spring, 2008 Schedule:
(held on 2 dates) Saturday, February 16, and Saturday, March 29,
9:30am until 5pm
- $175

You will receive an attunement which allows you to transmit Reiki healing energy for healing and personal growth. Learn the hand positions for giving a complete Reiki treatment to yourself and others and have time to practice these skills. Learn to scan the human energy field. Learn the history of Reiki and the ethics of a healing practitioner.

Reiki Level II - Day long class
Spring, 2008 Schedule:
Saturday, April 26,
9:30am until 5pm
- $195

Receive a Level II attunement and three Reiki symbols - ( power, mental/emotional, and distant healing). Learn to: Beam energy, distant heal, empower goals, send energy to future events, clear a room of negative energy, and heal addictions. The symbols increase the power of Reiki. Level II empowers students to begin a Reiki practice if they so desire.

The class described below, "Reiki Master's Training" will be offered periodically. Please contact Chris Hanna for the availability of this class.

Reiki Master's Training - three days

This class is for those Reiki Level II graduates who would like to teach Reiki classes. Learn to give attunements for all of the classes. We will review course content for all of the classes. Practice and follow-up with the teacher.

Satisfactory completion of Levels I and II are required as well as plenty of hands on Reiki experience. This is an intense course and participants should be motivated by a strong desire to give attunements and teach classes. The Masters course will take you to a deeper place in your Reiki practice.

Cleansing process: Traditionally, there is a 21 day cleansing process that takes place after each class. Emotional or physical cleansing may take place in the form of colds or irritability. This usually passes quickly. Students are asked to practice Reiki on themselves for all 21 days.

Preparing for classes: To enhance your experience of the attunement it is suggested that for three days before the class you: decrease or eliminate the use of caffeine, don’t drink alcohol, minimize or stop eating sweets, cut back or eliminate smoking, don’t eat meat or fish, meditate one-half to one hour per day or spend time in silence, reduce or eliminate TV, radio, and reading newspapers; go for walks, spend time in nature, get some exercise, release anger, fear, jealousy, hate, worry, and envy; read material that is uplifting and inspiring.

A testimonial from this class...

"I am enjoying the peace that I have been able to obtain through Reiki. The class was wonderful and I'm so glad to be a part of this beautiful energy. I find that my state of mind is much deeper and calmer."
